Zone

Manly Warringah Little Athletics Centre hosts the North East Metropolitan Zone Championships each year. The date varies each year but is typically in December. Each athlete competes in their Manly Centre uniform at Zone. Athletes are selected based on their preferences, and performance in each event during the season.

Regional

Athletes who progress from Zone compete at the Regional carnival, again in the Manly Warringah centre uniform. This is sometimes held at Narrabeen, and sometimes at Homebush. It is generally in early February.

State Champs

Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Championships are held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush.

Each athlete competes in their Manly Centre uniform at State. The event is usually held in March.

State Relays

Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Relay Championships are held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush. Teams are selected by the Centre in both track and field teams, with points allocated to the team for each performance. Each athlete competes in their Manly Centre uniform at State Relay.

Other Representative Opportunities

State Multi

Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Multi Championships are held at a different country Centre. Each athlete competes in their Manly Centre uniform at State Multi.

Trans Tasman Challenge

The Trans Tasman is for athletes in the U11 and U12 age groups, from both NSW and Auckland. Every second year, a team from NSW (boys and girls in both the U11 and U12 age groups), travel to Auckland for the Trans Tasman Tour. On alternate years, a team from Auckland travels to Sydney. Each athlete competes in a special NSW uniform provided by the organisers. Trials are held early November (usually) to enable athletes to qualify for the Trans Tasman team.

Australian Teams Championships

Athletes in the State Team are chosen at the State Championships from the U13 age group as well as two boys and girls selected from the U15 age group at the State Multi Event. The athletes compete as a team against all other States. The teams are selected by a LAANSW selection committee.
